Fabris Peruško: ”The Way Franck is Acting Reminds Me of Kindergarten”

Franck isn’t happy with Agrokor’s extraordinary commissioner, and in turn, he isn’t all that impressed with Franck’s reactions, either.

Despite Fabris Peruško’s considerable and concerted efforts to deal with Agrokor’s still more than problematic situation that still very much existed even after Ante Ramljak’s departure from the ailing company, not everyone is overjoyed with his decisions. Franck is making its dissatisfaction with Agrokor’s extraordinary administration team known.

As Poslovni Dnevnik/Suzana Varosanec writes on the 20th of May, 2018, Agrokor’s Fabris Peruško and his deputy Irena Weber have published new and more detailed information regarding the settlement process within Agrokor, and in the press release, they discussed the latest Franck attacks on the work of the extraordinary board more than anything else.

“Franck behaved like Agrokor’s bank, not like a coffee producer, and turned into one of Agrokor’s biggest domestic financiers,” said Peruško, negatively referencing the coffee company, adding that he believed their behaviour to be totally ungrounded. Irena Weber added that Franck’s limited debt stands at about 37 million euro, 9.3 million euro of which involves the sale of goods.

Weber mentioned the fact that Franck has already paid off 6.8 million euro of a 9.3 euro amount, an amount which is significantly above the average of other suppliers, but that the company’s real problems don’t lie with claims, but with an incredible 59 million euro of other debt. Weber claimed that the company’s energy is directed at the demolition of Agrokor for particular (special) interests.

”While Franck is bothering us with announcements and motions, we’re continuing to talk with Franck, and we won’t stop talking, but we’re not going to let their financial bills endanger the settlement(s) of all of the creditors,” Weber warned.

Peruško also referred to the position of the creditor council, a topic in which he also sees Franck as a culprit: ”The [Agrokor] extraordinary administration wanted to form a permanent creditor council, but because of mutual tactical games going on among the creditors, that wasn’t possible. Franck contested the groups we’ve proposed. The proposal was given to the court in January, and Franck concretely complained about it, and, in parallel, they procured power of attorney so they could enter one of the proposed groups. Their behaviour is like that of kids in a kindergarten.”

“The extraordinary administration is aware that additional deals need to be reached, as well as with Sberbank,” noted Peruško, announcing a new meeting with suppliers on Tuesday.

A creditor’s vote on Agrokor’s settlement should be held by June the 26th, 2018, at the very latest.
