Plenković Extends Condolences to Indonesian Authorities for Tsunami Victims

ZAGREB, September 29, 2018 – Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on Saturday extended condolences to Indonesian President Joko Widodo on the human losses and material damage caused by an earthquake and tsunami that hit the island of Sulawesi, the government said in a press release.

“It is with great regret that I received the news of the tragic loss of numerous human lives and the material damage caused by the earthquake and tsunami that hit your country. On behalf of the Croatian government and the Croatian people, I extend condolences to you and the Indonesian people and respect to the families of the victims. We wish all those who were injured a speedy recovery,” the prime minister’s message reads.

An earthquake and a tsunami that followed hit Indonesia on Friday, killing 384 people, while another 350 have been injured, according to the latest information.
