ZAGREB, March 5, 2018 – President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović convened this year’s first meeting of her Homeland Security Council on Monday, thanking the Council members and Defence Minister Damir Krstičević for their successful work and contribution to the adoption of the National Security Strategy and the Homeland Security Act.
The Council adopted the annual work plan to coordinate the efforts of all stakeholders in supporting the establishment of the homeland security system, the President’s Office said in a statement.
The coordinating body for the homeland security system, which is chaired by Defence Minister Damir Krstičević, has adopted its annual plan with the consent of the president and the prime minister. The plan defines objectives and priorities to be pursued by the state authorities in designing implementing documents and establishing standard operating procedures for crisis management.
Chief of Police Nikola Milina informed the Council about the implementation of activities and tasks in managing security risks and crisis situations of relevance to national security.
