Croatian Prime Minister will take part in a panel together with his Serbian counterpart Vučić.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković will participate today and tomorrow in the annual World Economic Forum in Davos in Switzerland, reports Večernji List on January 19, 2017.
During the short visit, he will have a number of bilateral meetings, and on Friday he will participate in a panel about Eastern Europe and the strengthening of the European neighbourhood policies. In addition to Plenković, the panel will include Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić and Austrian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Sebastian Kurz. The moderator of the debate will be European Commissioner for Enlargement Johannes Hahn.
In addition to their participation in the panel, Prime Minister Plenković has no planned bilateral meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Vučić, although there were such rumours mentioned in recent days in the media. However, the Prime Minister will have quite a number of such meetings with other dignitaries.
Immediately after arriving to Davos, Plenković will meet with Swiss President and Minister of Environment Doris Leuthard, then with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Angel Gurria. The final bilateral meeting for today Plenković will have with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini. On Friday, before the panel, Prime Minister Plenković will meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, and there will also be a bilateral meeting with European Commissioner Johannes Hahn.
Among scheduled meetings there is also a discussion between the Prime Minister and several representatives from the business community who traditionally also gather in Davos together with politicians. The Prime Minister is optimistic ahead of the meeting, believing that investors will be ready to launch businesses and investments in Croatia, due to good economic indicators which have recently been recorded in Croatia.
