ZAGREB, January 31, 2018 – Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on Wednesday accepted the invitation from Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović to visit Zagreb in mid-February, saying that he would go to Croatia “in good faith so that together we can do something good for our children and our future.”
“These talks will be neither easy nor pleasant, but I believe they will be of great benefit to our citizens, both Serbs and Croats,” Vučić told a joint press conference in Belgrade with European Parliament President Antonio Tajani.
Vučić said that the invitation from Zagreb was very important to Serbia. He said he would meet with Croatian officials and Serb community leaders and would also visit ordinary Serbs living in Croatia.
The Serbian President said he expected the visit to take place on February 12 and 13.
