This was Čilić’s fourth match against the left-handed 35-year-old from Luxembourg and the fourth win for Croatia’s best singles tennis player.

Croatia’s best singles tennis player Marin Čilić placed into the quarterfinal of the ATP World Tour 500 Series tournament at the Queen’s Club in London, marking his seventh time in the quarters of the tournament. This time, Čilić overcame Gilles Müller with 4:6, 6:3, 6:3 in an hour and 42 minutes of play, reports Gol.hr on June 20, 2018.

It was Čilić’s fourth match against the left-handed 35-year-old from Luxembourg and the fourth win for Čilic. The last three games between the two players were played on grass courts.

The match started better for Muller, who pulled 15:40 in the second game and in the fifth came to the break. His advantage was enough to win the first set, however, there was a complete turnaround by Čilić in the second.

In the remaining two sets, Muller took only five points at Čilić’s service, and with a break in the sixth game of the second set and in the first and last game, Čilić came to the victory.

For a place in the semifinals, Čilić will fight against American tennis player Sam Querrey, who beat Switzerland’s Stan Wawrinka 7:5, 6:7 (3), 6: 1. In the five previous duels, of which four were played on grass, Čilić celebrated in all five. Čilić defeated Querrey three times in Wimbledon – in the third round of 2009, in the third round of 2012, and in last year’s semi-final. After defeating the American player in 2012, he reached the Queen’s Club Finals. Čilić also defeated Querrey on a hard court in Washington in 2015.
