Croats in NBA: Brilliant Bogdanović Leads Pacers to Another Victory

Bojan Bogdanović was the best scorer for the Indiana Pacers against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night, while Dario Šarić played his best match in the Minnesota Timberwolves jersey. 

The Indiana Pacers have shown their force yet again with an impressive win against the Los Angeles Lakers. In their 136:94 victory, Croatian basketball star Bojan Bogdanović scored 24 points in 33 minutes on the court (shots in play 10/17, three-pointers 4/10) and achieved one rebound, five assists and one steal. Myles Turner was the next best for the Pacers with 22 points, reports HRT on February 6, 2019. 

Indiana, who achieved their third consecutive win, had a total of 19 three-pointers. Not even LeBron James could help Los Angeles and finished the game with just 18 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. Fellow Mostar native Ivica Zubac played 19 minutes for the Lakers and managed to score eight points (shots in play 4/5) with four rebounds and one assist.

Much better news comes from Dario Šarić who played his best game since coming to Minnesota. In the Timberwolves defeat to the Grizzlies (106:108), Šarić scored 22 points (shots in play 7/11, three-pointers 4/7), with seven rebounds and four assists.

The best for Memphis was Mike Conley who scored 25 points and nine assists. Justin Holiday hit two free throws 0.1 seconds before the final buzzer to give the Grizzlies their second consecutive victory. Karl-Anthony Towns led Minnesota with 26 points and 18 rebounds.

Cleveland Cavaliers lost at home to the Boston Celtics (96:103). Split native Ante Žižić played 23 minutes for the Cavs and managed eight points, 12 rebounds and one assist. 

Jayson Tatum was the best on the Celtics with 25 points, and Gordon Hayward added 18 for Boston who achieved their fifth win in a row. Rookie Collin Sexton led the Cavaliers with 27 points.

The New York Knicks lost 95:105 to the Detroit Pistons. Blake Griffin scored 29 points with eight assists and six rebounds for Detroit, who were not trailing in the game at any time. Dennis Smith Jr. was the best for the Knicks with 25 points, while Mario Hezonja did not enter the game.
