Total Croatia News

Crvena Zvezda won the first game, so Cedevita needs a win tonight to secure game three in Belgrade

In the second round of the ABA League Play-off semi-finals, Cedevita is to host Crvena Zvezda in Zagreb on March, 22. 2016. Belgrade team has won the first game and will want to finish the job tonight while Cedevita is hoping to get a chance for the third game in Belgrade.

It seems that the favourites are well known right now, as Zvezda won the last two clashes and are, besides the ABA League, currently proving to be in the better shape in the Euroleague as well. However, one should not underestimate the importance of the home court, as Cedevita’s only win against Crvena Zvezda this season was in Zagreb so they will try their best to repeat it.

Vejlko Mršić, head coach of Cedevita has spoken in the pre – match press conference: “After the first game in Belgrade, in which both sides have shown some very good basketball, I hope that we will have a similar game on Tuesday evening. We are in good form, although we did lose previous two games. But, the most important thing is to look good as a team and to give it our best. At the end, we will see if that is enough for the win,”
He added that Cedevita might miss two very important players in the upcoming game:
“Henry Walker is still injured and he will most likely skip the Game 2. At the same time, Luka Žorić suffered an ankle injury in our last game and we do not know at the moment whether he will be ready for Tuesday.”
Kick off for the match two of the semi-finals is scheduled for 20.00n CET in Dom sportova hall in Zagreb.
