Croatian Basketball Weekend Lineup

Total Croatia News

It is a tough weekend for Croatian basketball clubs in the ABA league, and in the Croatian A1 League as the battle for places in Croatian Champions League continues.

In ABA League, Cedevita secured a place in the playoff, but this is a big weekend for them, as they travel to Belgrade to face Partizan (Monday, 20.00 CET) trying to clinch the second place and home advantage for semifinal games to be played against Red Star.

For getting there, they will want some help from Cibona, who will face Red Star in Zagreb, on Monday, 18.00 CET. It will be interesting to watch this double clash between Zagreb and Belgrade best teams, and with Red Star and Partizan being harsh rivals throughout the history, and Cibona and Cedevita becoming ones in last few years.

Other Croatian representative in ABA League, Zadar is meeting Igokea in Laktaši, on Sunday, 17.00 CET, in a game with no pressure, and actually can use it as a training game for upcoming Croatian Champions League.

In Croatian A1 League, Zagreb, Split and Kvarner have secured the place in CCL, and some interesting matches are to be played today, as there are two more vacancies left:

A1 League, Saturday, February 27, 2016:

VROS Darda – Zabok, Osijek, 15.00 CET

Kaštela – Split, Kaštela 17.00 CET

GKK Šibenik – Zagreb, Šibenik, 17.10 CET

Kvarner – Škrljevo, Rijeka, 19.30 CET

Alkar – Jolly, Sinj, 19.30 CET
