Croatian Basketball Team Wins Again!

The Croatian basketball team has a new spirit, beating the hosts despite vocal home support.

Croatia beat Brazil 80-76 in Rio on August, 11. 2016, in a third round match of the Olympic tournament. Croatia played in a manner we are already used to, with a tight defense and this time Bojan Bogdanović was unstoppable in the attack.

He scored 33 points, but he was always there to score when the tough got going. After the match, he told the media modestly that it was a team effort that won the game, but the team captain, Roko Ukić stated that while the team effort is always needed for the win, it was Bogdanović who was crucial for the Croatian attack.

Croatia will face Nigeria in the next round of the Olympic tournament, and the match will be played on Saturday evening in Rio, or rather Sunday morning in Central European Time.
