The famous Croatian basketball player joined in on crowdfunding action of Our Hajduk members
The crowdfunding action among the Our Hajduk members who are raising money to pay the Hajduk shares got a big boost on October 19. 2016, as one of the most famous Croatian basketball players ever, Dino Rađa joined in on the action.
He joined “Our Hajduk” leaders yesterday and donated money which will enable him and his three sons to get their names printed on the official Hajduk jersey for the next season.
He waited in the queue, as it was crowded at the Members Office at Poljud Stadium, and as a significant number of photographers and journalists were there too, he joked: “It is unusual to get this kind of attention while paying the bills.”
On the more serious note, he stated his support for the action: “It is a matter of pride and emotions. It is hard to explain to someone not infected with Hajduk, and there is no need to explain to those feeling it. My sons’ names and my own on the official Hajduk’s jersey is a dream come true for me.”
Tomislav Mikulić, the “Our Hajduk’s” man in charge for the donation process told us they are overwhelmed with the response by the fans at the beginning of the action: “We expected many people showing up and donating, but even in our dreams we did not expect numbers to be as high as they are after just three days.”
In times of broad resignation sense among the Croatian population, Our Hajduk is showing the way for the masses on how to change the state of affairs, and it seems that Hajduk’s future is secured with this kind of support by its fans.
