EHF EURO 2024: Croatia Advances to the Next Round!

January 16, 2024 – The Croatia handball team moves into the second round of EHF EURO 2024!

Croatia beat Romania 31:25 (16:12) in the last round of the Euros group stage in Mannheim, confirming their place in the second round of the competition.

Croatia struggled in the third round of Group B until 12:12 in the 27th minute. Then, in the last two minutes of the first half, they went ahead with a 4-0 series for 16:12.

They continued with the same momentum in the second half. In the 33rd minute, they had a six-goal lead (18:12). Romania only threatened in the 46th minute, when they reduced the score to 24:20.

Klarica was excellent for Croatia with seven goals, while Kušan, Šoštarić, and Jelinić scored four each.

Now, the only question is whether Croatia will transfer two points or one point to the second round, which we will know after Spain and Austria meet. In this case, we hope for a Spain victory.
