Croatia faces Azerbaijan in the next round of EURO 2016 Qualifiers
Croatian national team is continuing with their Euro 2016 qualifiers.
Next opponent is Azerbaijan, lead by head coach Robert Prosinečki. Game will be played in Baku tomorrow, kick off time is 18:00 h.
Since Prosinečki is a former teammate of our head coach Niko Kovač, and a former assistant coach in our own national team, he is very well acquainted with our strengths and weaknesses so it
remains to be seen whether he will be able to utilize that knowledge to his own advantage.
When asked if he’s got any tricks up his sleeve, Prosinečki answered “No tricks, we know Croatia is a firm favourite in this game and a great football team, all I can do is hope we can give our very
best on the field and try to leave a better impression than we did in the first game when we lost 6-0″.
Since he took over Azerbaijan national team, Prosinečki didn’t lose a single game. He’s got a win against Malta (2:0) and a draw against Norway (0-0), but he will have to face Croatia without two of
his key players and in a much smaller stadium than before. On the other side, Croatian team is complete and they have their hearts set on coming home with the maximum 6 points from two
qualifying games in this round against Azerbaijan tomorrow and Norway on Sunday.
