Great news for fans of Real Madrid: Luka Modric will return to the field…soon. The coach of Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane, has said that Modrić will hopefully be ready for the derby against Atletico Madrid, which is scheduled for November 20. If the recovery goes according to plan, the Croatian midfielder will be in that game.
Good news has arrived for all the fans of Real Madrid as Luka Modrić has started training after his knee surgery. The Real Madrid midfielder did some jogging yesterday as a first step towards full recovery and a return onto the field, reports Vecernji List.
The coach of Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane, according to Spanish media, has stated that Modrić wants to be ready for the derby with Atletico, which is scheduled on November 20. If the recovery goes according to plan, the Croatian midfielder will be able to participate in the match.
As we know, the derby is very important for Real, but the priority this season is winning the championship (Modrić has yet to be a champion of Spain). For such a feat, Real cannot waste points like they have in the last four games where they only took home one win. Surely things should fall back into place once Luka returns.
With this news, it seems that the Croatia National Team will not have Modrić for their World Cup Qualifying match against Iceland in Zagreb on November 12.
