At -34 Celsius his face is quite damaged, but his typical pride is still visible
Croatian skier Ivica Kostelić ended his professional career and quickly found another adrenaline rush, deciding to cross Greenland, Jutarnji List published on May 4, 2017.
Accompanied by Slovenian Miha Podgornik, it took them 18 days, 10 hours and 52 minutes to reach the goal: Isortoq village on the east coast of Greenland, on Sunday, April 30.
The remarkable duo crossed 582 kilometres despite being faced with wind gusts of up to 120 km/h and the temperature dropping to minus 34 Celsius. Ivica had decided to give this undertaking a humanitarian note as the whole time he was collecting donations for the Down Syndrome Association of Međimurje County.
