Luka Modrić shared at a press conference on Tuesday that he will reveal his future with Croatia after the Nations League finals.

“I have more or less made a decision about continuing my career, but I don’t want to state it now,” said the Croatia captain, Luka Modrić, at the press conference ahead of the Nations League semi-final against the Netherlands.

“At the moment, I am focused on the Nations League. I more or less have a decision, but I don’t want to state it now, and we can talk about the continuation of my career after this tournament. However, our focus is on other things,” added Modrić at De Kuip stadium.

In the Nations League semi-finals, Croatia will be hosted by the Netherlands.

“We will play against a young, very talented team that is returning to its old ways. They have a quality and talented generation. It will be a difficult match, they are playing in front of their own fans, but we are happy that there will be a lot of our fans. The game is 50-50, it’s up to us to do our best. We came full of energy, will, and enthusiasm. We worked phenomenally, I feel good, and I believe we will show it on the field,” added Modrić.

The Croatia captain once again reiterated that he enjoys playing in the Vatreni jersey.

“I always enjoy playing for the national team. It fulfills me. The end of my time on the national team is approaching. I am happy every time I play for the national team, I enjoy playing for Croatia.”

Spanish journalists were interested in whether Luka is staying at Real Madrid or thinking about Saudi Arabia.

“I have an important match ahead of me. The focus is on the national team. I have talked a lot about my future at Real, and now my focus is on the national team.”

He also spoke about Karim Benzema leaving Real Madrid for Saudi Arabia.

“Of course, we are sorry, but everyone chooses their own path. As a team, we are sorry to have lost such a player. I thank him for everything he did,” concluded Modrić.
