Luka Modric has added yet another award to his precious collection this year, and this time by one of the most prestigious international monthly men’s lifestyles magazines, rocking the shelves of Spain since 1994 – GQ.

Namely, Modrić was among the winners at GQ magazine’s ‘Men of the Year’ awards this week. The Croatian captain and Real Madrid midfielder was proclaimed the best sportsman of the year at the gala evening at the Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid. For the occasion, Luka wore an elegant dark suit, while his wife Vanja glittered in a long black dress with silver accents, reports 24 Sata on November 23, 2018.
This prize is yet another addition to Luka’s fantastic 2018, a year that saw him win the silver at the World Cup in Russia with Croatia shortly after he won his fourth Champions League title with Real Madrid.
Modrić was named the best player of the Russia tournament, after which he celebrated his new titles of the best player in Europe and the world by UEFA and FIFA. The crown of his memorable year could be winning the famed ‘Ballon d’Or (Golden Ball) by France Football, who will award the winner on December 3, 2018, in Paris. Modrić has already been named as one of the biggest favorites to win the award.
