May 19, 2024 – Mateo Kovačić and Joško Gvardiol win the Premier League with Manchester City!
Manchester City is the Premier League champion once again. Pep Guardiola’s side entered the last round with a two-point advantage over Arsenal. Against West Ham, City confirmed that they are the best in England. Arsenal finished in second place, while Liverpool finished third. Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United have been relegated. This is Manchester City’s fourth league title in a row.
City was dominant from the start against West Ham. Already in the 18th minute, it was 2-0. Phil Foden, who was recently declared the best player of the Premier League, scored a wonderful goal in the 2nd minute, and then again in the 18th. Kudus reduced the score with a stellar scissor kick at the end of the first half, but Rodri made it 3-1, clearing all doubts about City defending the title.
Joško Gvardiol played the entire game for City at left back. Mateo Kovačić came on in injury time for Phil Foden. Man City has now broken an impressive record, as no one has ever won four Premier League titles in a row. They still have a chance to win the FA Cup this season, too.
