One More Resignation In Hajduk; The Main Sponsor Leaves The Supervisory Board

Total Croatia News

There is no peace in Hajduk, as resignations continue flooding in after the sacking of President Brbić

Tomislav Mamić and his son Zoran called a press conference on April 7, 2016. and announced that Zoran Mamić has resigned his post in the Hajduk’s supervisory board. They feel that there is a plot by members of the supervisory board to take over the club.

Tomislav Mamić is the owner of the principal sponsor of the club, and his company (named Tommy after his nickname) and owns 26% shares of the club. He pointed out that he sees nothing good coming out of the latest events in Hajduk, and called upon „Our Hajduk“ to take more control in managing the club, and not to limit its influence solely to the election of the board members.

Tommy is in doubt if this way of managing the club is sustainable if all is left in the hands of supervisory board members. He feels that the President of the club should have more authority, and has accused certain board members of incompetence.

Hajduk community is expecting the name of a new acting president to be announced by Slaven Marasović, new supervisory board chairman on Saturday. It seems that some trust is lost at the moment, but the naming of new leadership will show if their “new direction” will be welcomed by the supporters.
