Cibona won two games in a row; they won the second one 72-67 at Dražen Petrović Hall and now lead the series 2-1

Playoff final series of the Croatian Basketball League got to its third session on May 25. 2017. and Cibona was the first team to make use of a home-court advantage, as the first two games were won by the guests.

Cibona was the better team for the most of the time play, and at the start of the final quarter, they had 59-42 lead. It seemed the last minutes was going to be a stroll for the home team, but Cedevita struggled back, and after an 11-0 run, the result on the scoreboard was 59-53.

The Cibona coach then called a time-out, and it helped his players to get through and take the win. Rozić and Šakić scored a couple of three-pointers, and even though the Cedevita coach Mršić tried the same with his players calling the time-out too, there was no luck for them, as they just missed some easy shots.

Veljko Mršić, the Cedevita coach, told the press that Cibona deserved the win, as they were the better team throughout the game; “We started the match in good shape, but after missing a couple of easy shots, we lost our posture. We will try to win on Sunday and get back here for the fifth game.”

Željko Šakić, the Cibona player, said that they would be the champions, either after the next leg, or the fifth one: “We have enough stamina for that. I think we played well today. Our fans helped a lot.”

The fourth leg of the final series is scheduled on Sunday evening.
