In almost half of the clubs playing in the Champions League this season, there is at least one Croatian footballer in the team.
While Croatia will, unfortunately, remain without a club in the Champions League this season, just what kind of football force the country is can be confirmed by the record number of players in the elite competition, reports Goal.hr on August 30, 2018.
If there are no surprises at the end of the transfer period, and if no player falls injured or becomes a supernumerary player in the team, we will see 20 Croatian footballers in the Champions League this season.
Moreover, almost half, or 15 out of 32 clubs in the Champions League, are proud to have players from the country of the World Cup finalists. And Croatia is even represented by two Croatian coaches this season!
