Advent in Zagreb is growing in popularity year on year, with more and more events taking place in the capital. Not many are as active as this – the return of the Zagreb Advent Run.
Runners in Zagreb’s center widen awareness of the need for moderate exercise and raise money for children with malignant diseases
ZAGREB ADVENT RUN 2017. RACE AT THIS YEARS ADVENT
November 14th, 2017, Zagreb – Avoiding the famous “holiday boom”, doing something good for your health and in that way doing good to yourself and to others by raising funds for a noble goal and having fun in the wonderful atmosphere of the best European Advent – this year you can have it all by participating in the Zagreb Advent Run 2017 race.
The Zagreb Advent Race will be held on Sunday, 10th of December starting at 10 am. The start and finish of the race are in Isidor Kršnjavi Street in front of The Westin hotel, and runners can choose between 5 and 10 kilometer races, which will move through the Zagreb city centre, in the enchanting atmosphere of Advent. The organizers invite the racers to dress up as their favourite holiday characters and join this unique magical race. We expect a large number of Santa Clauses, elves, reindeer and other lovely and cheerful characters to attend…
Moderate exercise is a good solution to maintain a healthy body weight during the holidays. That is why the participants of the race will be able to meet the experts of the Andrija Štampar Teaching Institute of Public Health and learn about a proper and balanced diet as well as have their blood pressure and blood sugar measured.
This year, we also run to aid the “Love in Action” Association, which brings together parents of children suffering from malignant diseases treated at the Zagreb Children’s Disease Clinic.
