Croatian representative Ivan Rakitić scored a lovely goal in the 72nd minute of the El Clasico versus Real Madrid and brought Barcelona to a 2:1 lead, silencing Real fans. The Catalonia team won with 3:2 in the end, with a goal by Messi in the last second of the duel, Jutarnji List reported on April 23, 2017.
“Only four days ago we had a tough game from the beginning. There was a lot of movement in both directions, the tempo was insane as well as the entire game. We are very satisfied with the victory, looking to turn things around in La Liga and we presented strong character tonight. It is a historical issue to play with a man like Lionel Messi, he can remain the best. It will not be easy, but we must continue such games,” said Ivan Rakitić to Spanish media immediately after El Clasico.
