Three-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade shows off the jersey of Luka Modrić on holiday after a tough NBA season.
Known as one of the most famous basketball players of today and future member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, Dwyane Wade is taking a break after a fierce NBA season to enjoy a much needed holiday with his close friends in tow. Thanks to social media, we’re never too far away from knowing what our favorite celebrities are doing, and thanks to one of the basketball superstar’s companions, Wade was filmed at a party which he attended wearing the Real Madrid jersey of Croatia captain Luka Modrić, reports Gol.hr on July 6, 2018.
“My man,” Wade said to the camera after first showing the name and autograph of the Croatia football star.
Recall, in March, the Croatian national team was on tour in the United States where they played against Peru and Mexico. The national teams of Croatia and Peru met in Miami, the city of the Miami Heat, where Wade plays. After the game, a few of the Croatia teammates met the Heat legend, who is a triple NBA champion, and exchanged jerseys.
Luka Modrić gifted Wade a Real Madrid jersey with his number and name on the back at their meeting, adding a message to his autograph:
“To Dwyane – All the best.”
We’re sure that Wade is aware of the importance of Luka’s jersey today, as he has been named one of the best players of the World Cup in Russia thus far. Modrić will lead the Croatia national team towards the greatest success of Croatian football on Saturday when Croatia and Russia will play the quarterfinal of the World Cup. In the event of a victory, this generation of Croatian footballers will equal the success of the 98 generation – with the chance of being going even further.
