Star Wars Episode VIII to be Filmed in Croatia?

Looks like the force may be strong in Dubrovnik

A few different portals have dropped the same piece of news  on January 26, 2016, that Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is slated to begin filming at Pinewood Studios in London next month, will also  include visits and shooting at some exciting destinations and it looks like our very own Dubrovnik is one of them.

We all know Dubrovnik was used for HBO’s Game of Thrones as the King’s Landing locations, and according to Makingstarwars.net crews say location is pleasant to film in and offers tax breaks and incentives to new productions.

To cut a short story even shorter, if the rumours prove to be true Star Wars: Episode VIII will film in Dubrovnik, Croatia later in the year.

We are waiting for official confirmation from Lucas Film or Disney, until then, fingers crossed we keep.
