ZelEn is derived from the words “Zelena Energija”, or green energy.
Adriatic Croatia International Club (ACI) has entered into a contract with HEP for the use of a product called ZelEn which is electric energy derived exclusively from renewable sources, reports HRTurizam on April 4, 2017.
ZelEn is a product that has been designed specifically for companies like ACI, who for years have been actively concerned about the preservation of the environment. Socially responsible behavior is a priority of ACI, and with this move to green energy, they hope to position themselves as a protector and friend of the environment.
The funds collected from the sale of ZelEn are collected and used to implement renewable energy and energy efficiency projects for the needs of socially vulnerable categories in the public sector, such as kindergartens, schools, or nursing homes. For example, the first funds from the ZelEn fee were awarded to the Children’s Home Ivana Brlić Mažuranić in Lovran in the amount of 400,000.00 HRK.
The ZelEn product is intended for customers of HEP Opskrba who have a socially responsible attitude, care about the preservation of the environment, and encourage the use of energy from renewable sources.
