Take a tour around the most distinguished locations in Rijeka with Ashley Colburn
Ashley Colburn, TV host and two-time Emmy Award winner, released another video in her series of guides around Croatia. This time, Colburn pays a visit to Rijeka and takes us around town in a video published by the Rijeka Tourist Board on October 1, 2017.
She starts the 3-minute tour at the heart of the city – Rijeka’s biggest open market, the best place to get fresh seafood and locally grown produce. She follows up with a couple of shots from the city’s main promenade named Korzo, going on to visit a couple of cultural hotspots. Colburn first drops by the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral, a place nestled in a gorgeous historical palace that houses the only life vest from the Titanic that’s preserved in Europe; then she goes on to see the exhibition dedicated to the history of torpedos, as Rijeka used to be home to the first torpedo factory in the world.
