Are you a Night Owl who fancies walking the city walls nocturnally? You might be in with a chance.
Dubrovnik’s top tourist attraction, its mighty City Walls, could soon be open for night tours. The walls, which see a staggeringly high number of people each year and welcomed their millionth visitor earlier this month, usually close their doors at around 19:30 before re-opening again the next morning, but organised nighttime tours could become a possibility for 2017, claims Dubrovnik mayor, Andro Vlahusic.
Vlahusic claimed in a press conference that the City of Dubrovnik is prepared to increase and improve its safety features to for allow night tours to take place. The idea had been suggested in the past but was kicked into the long grass due to justified health and safety concerns.
