Turkish Airlines is increasing its presence in Dubrovnik. Having started with three flights a week in 2016 to the Pearl of the Adriatic and increasing to 9 last summer, Turkish will operate 11 flights from Istanbul to Dubrovnik this summer. Apart from better access for Turkish tourists, the global network of Turkish Airlines will make Dubrovnik more accessible for visitors from further afield. Turkish will maintain its 14 flights a week from Istanbul to Zagreb, as last year. Click here for timetables.

Lufthansa is also beefing up its presence in Croatia this summer, with increased flights from Frankfurt to Split and Dubrovnik, while Munich visitors will have increased choice to Dubrovnik, Pula, Split and Zadar.

The easyJet expansion to Pula continues, as the low-cost carrier approaches 50 routes to Croatia for 2018. The latest two additions are both from Berlin, with three flights a week running from Berlin Schonefeld to Pula from June 26 to September 1, and from Berlin Tegel with the same frequency from August 3 to October 27.

Air France will provide some direct competition to Croatia Airlines on the route Paris to Dubrovnik, with two flights a week starting from Charles de Gaulle on Bastille Day, Jul 14. Timetable here.  ExYuAviation also reports that passenger traffic to Dubrovnik was up more than 15% in January, with the airport handling 22,280 passengers.

As previously reported, Croatia Airlines will be introducing a new route from Dublin to Zagreb. These plans have now been confirmed and announced, and the new Thursday and Sunday service will start on May 3.
