The promotion of Advent in Zagreb continues, as Emmy award winner Ashley Colburn releases her own video guide.
It is possibly the tourist success story of a very impressive year for Croatian tourism.
An event that hardly existed until six years ago has not only been voted the best of its kind for two years in succession, but is growing at an incredible rate – up 50% from 2013-15 in terms of arrivals and overnight stays, and already over 30% this years for the first two weeks.
In fact, so successful is Advent in Zagreb that Zagreb in December has more tourists that some medium-sized destinations on the coast manage in a year.
The latest international promotion comes from Californian Ashley Colburn, whose love affair with Croatia started while filming her documentary, WOW Croatia, which went on to win her an Emmy Award. With a home in Istira, Colburn is spending an increasing amount of time in the country, allowing more time for filming, including this year’s Advent.
