Bol on Island Brač Records a Stellar Tourist Season

The Bol Tourist Board has released the numbers for the tourist season thus far, showing an increase in the number of overnight stays in the first 9 months of this year, exceeding 630,000 overnight stays.

Just as the rise in the number of arrivals and overnight stays increased in all of Split-Dalmatia County, the Tourist Board of Bol has also released an increase in numbers, reports Dalmacija News.

 

In September this year, there were 100,914 overnight stays recorded, of which 5,759 overnight stays were by domestic guests (6%) and 95,155 overnight stays were by foreign tourists (94%). In the same period last year, there were 95,083 overnights recorded, showing a growth of 6% compared to last year.

 

In the first nine months of 2016, there was a total of 638,433 overnight stays. Domestic customers accounted for 6% or 38,650 of overnights, while 94% (599,783) were by tourists. In this same period last year, there was an increase of 11%. Last year there was 575,661 overnights recorded.

 

In the first nine months, 329,061 overnight stays (an increase of 3%) were recorded in hotels, 283,784 (up 23%) overnight stays in private homes, and 17,562 nights (an increase of 3%) in camps.

 

Most guests were Germans, making up 86,655 (13.57%) of overnight stays, closely followed by Scandinavians (85,712) and French (83,633). Following in fourth place are Austrians (73,212 overnight stays), while Croats come in fifth with 38,650 overnight stays. Slovenians made up 37,438 overnights, Italy with 35,731 overnights, and the United Kingdom with 33,378 overnight stays.
