October 8, 2023 – Croatia’s digital nomad/remote work promotion continues, as the winners of the Central Istria Gourmet Getaway are announced.
It is over three years since the term ‘digital nomad’ became a buzzword in Croatia, followed by the introduction of the Croatian digital nomad visa, only the second in Europe.
There has been plenty of progress since then, and Croatia has become an accepted – and exciting – destination for digital nomads and remote workers in general. And there are many destinations which are looking to boost their remote work destination credentials.
Among them is Central Istria, which next month will host a month-long Central Istria Gourmet Getaway, bringing together remote workers with a foodie interest to work with mentors to develop passion projects and storytelling skills, with Central Istria as their muse.
The winners were announced a few days ago, a very international field of diverse talent, who will be co-living in two villas from November 3 to December 3. You can see the announcement from the Central Istria Tourist Board below.
I am delighted to be among those chosen, and looking forward to expanding my knowledge of the region, as well as promoting Central Istria as part of a new video project I will be working on during my month-long stay. If anyone is interested in meeting to discuss collaboration, please let me know via [email protected] Subject Central Istria.
The Central Istria Gourmet Getaway is a partnership between Saltwater Nomad, Central Istria Tourist Board, Digital Nomad Association Croatia, and Croatian National Tourist Board.
