Croatia was among the top five countries whose accommodation facilities are most rewarded on hosting portal Booking.com.
The “Guest Review 2016” award on Booking.com is based on more than 110 million user ratings on more than 355,000 tourist facilities from the 205 countries across the globe. The highest awarded countries were Italy, the United Kingdom, Austria, Greece and Croatia, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on January 17, 2017.
Most awards were given to apartments, houses, and villas – all of which make up more than 70% of the accommodation facilities that received this award, according to Booking.com.
In Croatia, 12,219 accommodation facilities of all kinds received the award with an average rating of 8.9. In addition, 31 facilities in Croatia were rated highest by guests with a perfect 10.
“More than 110 million ratings left by the guests on the platform Booking.com helped passengers find accommodation, and our partners who rent out their accommodation provided insights into what travelers want, expect, appreciate, and what could be improved when people travel. According to a survey on Booking.com, the top 10 requests made by passengers during reservations were: a comfortable bed (80%), magnificent view (60%), free Wi-Fi (52%), spacious bathroom (39%), soft pillows (35%) service delivery in the room (28%), waterfall shower (25%), welcome drink (21%), large enough closet and hangers for coats (17%), and lighting (13%).
