Tourism journalism excellence celebrated in Zagreb at the annual FIJET Marco Polo Awards.
Croatian travel journalists gathered at the National Society of Journalists in Zagreb on December 11, 2015, for the annual FIJET Marko Polo awards, an event attended by Total Croatia News.
FIJET, the international association of professional travel writers and journalists, celebrated its 60th anniversary last year, and is very active in the promotion of tourism worldwide. The 2015 Marco Polo winners:
MARCO POLO foreign journalist award
Maria Parades, an American journalist, for the best travel stories about Hungary, a 2014 host country.
MARCO POLO GRAND PRIX
Matej Perkov
For the best travel writing published in the book “Climbing is a way of expression”.

Darko Halapija
For a series of exceptional television travelogue about Velebit published in 2014.
Marina Kelava
