Darrer d.o.o – Company Literally Placing Croatia on the Map

Total Croatia News

Their free city maps are available across Croatia.

For the last 12 years, company Darrer d.o.o. has been literally placing Croatia on a map, city by city, island by island. Their free maps have been the source of information for numerous tourists, and on July 22, we take a closer look at their activities and plans for the future.

It all started with Hello Zagreb, a map for domestic and international tourists that was supposed not only to help with directions but also provide all necessary information on where to sleep, eat and find entertainment in Croatia’s capital city. The map also contained coupons with discounts and it proved to be an instant hit. It is now in its 4th edition while the 5th one will be ready for September, filled with the latest info. Along with Hello Zagreb standard edition, Darrer d.o.o. also produced special Advent in Zagreb maps for the last two years, meaning we can expect the 2016 edition just in time for Europe’s best Christmas Fair.

Since then Hello Zagreb concept turned into Hello Croatia, with the intention to map all of the country’s most notable destinations so now you can find Hello Dubrovnik, Hello Split, Hello Šibenik&Vodice, Hello Zadar, Hello Opatija, Hello Rijeka, Hello Rovinj, Hello Poreč and Hello Pula.

New Use-it Zagreb maps are also a part of the global network of Use-it city maps that can be downloaded to every iPhone. They are intended for younger travellers and backpackers, filled with information provided by locals so it is not a trendy guide formed by copywriters and travel writers, instead, it offers the real soul of each city.

The future looks good for Darrer d.o.o. as they do not intend to stop mapping Croatia. Since they upgrade their maps every 6 months and keep producing new ones with more destinations, this summer you can expect to find Hello Dubrovnik, Hello Split, Hello Brač, Hello Zadar, Hello Opatija & Rijeka, Hello Rovinj & Porec as well as Hello Umag & Novigrad.

So, the next time you pick up a map while visiting a destination in Croatia, it is very likely that it was produced by the tireless team at Darrer d.o.o.
