June 15, 2018 – A real sword-dancing treat on Korčula tonight – don’t miss it!
The Korčula Sword dance festival starts this evening at 8 pm-parade of the sword dance Korčula island groups around the town, performing on All Saints square, St. Marks square, Plokata Square and at 8.45 pm the opening ceremony on Trg pomirenja square in Korčula.
This evening you can see Moreška sword dance the Moreška Cultural Society from Korčula. From Žrnovo (KPD Bratska sloga) cultural society performs single sword dance Moštra.
The Kumpanija sword dance is performed by the Kumpanjija group from Blato (VU Kumpanjija, Blato), the Kumpanija sword dance group from Vela Luka (Folklorno društvo Kumpanija, Vela Luka) and the Kumpanija sword dance group from Čara.
