April 3, 2019 – The latest news from around Croatia’s airports for new flights to Croatia with updates from Zadar, Pula, and Zagreb.

AvioRadar reports that Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair has stopped the sales on two lines from Zadar to Germany in the postseason. Namely, the service from Zadar to Karlsruhe and Memmingen will cease in September. The last ticket available to purchase on these routes is September 14, 2019. However, both of these services had initially been on sale until the end of October. Whether Ryanair will cancel these routes next year, or only use them for the peak season, we have yet to learn.

The Zadar-Karlsruhe line runs twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and commenced traffic on April 2. The Zadar-Memmingen line began traffic last year with three flights per week. This year, the route will run twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, from April 2.

AvioRadar also reports that Jet2 announced they will be traveling to Zadar in 2020. Zadar will be the fourth destination in Croatia for the British airline. Flight schedules, as well as ticket sales, are already available on the Jet2 website.

Two lines were announced, one from London Stansted and the other from Manchester. Both will be traded twice a week, Wednesdays and Sundays, from May 24 to November 1, 2020. The Boeing 737-800 should operate on these routes.

HRTurizam reports that this summer, the leading Austrian low-fare airline LaudaMotion will offer a new direct route from Stuttgart to Pula.

The flights began on April 2, 2019, and will run three times a week, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, until October 26, 2019.

“After the historic record season of 2018, when 718,187 passengers passed through Pula airport, this year we expect growth of a solid 10%, which is justified by the renewed interest of all existing companies, and some new lines that are included in the flight plan,” said Pula Airport. Namely, this includes the new lines on Volotea for Bordeaux, jet2.com for Birmingham, easyJet for Amsterdam and Geneva and TUI UK for Doncester.

“Our routes are successful because we have a real deal for cost-sensitive buyers. Particularly, with our new summer flight schedule, we will surely increase traffic with the new line from Stuttgart,” said Andreas Gruber, director of LaudaMotion.

Lauda recently celebrated their first anniversary in which they sold more than 5.3 million tickets, with a capacity utilization of 94%. For the 2019/20 season, they expect more than 6 million passengers to be transported on more than 100 routes.

And to conclude, HRTurizam reports that Emirates will continue to fly on the Dubai-Zagreb route until October 26, 2019, after which the partner airline flydubai will take over flights during the winter period. A strategic partnership between the two Dubai air carriers provides adequate capacity to best meet the needs of passengers.

The flight will depart from Dubai at 8:30 am and arrive in Zagreb at 12:35 local time. The return flight will depart from Zagreb at 15:25 and arrive in Dubai at 23:00 local time.

Due to the planned upgrades at Dubai International Airport (DXB), from April 16 to May 30, 2019, Emirates flights to Zagreb will be scheduled four times a week, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. From May 31, 2019 onwards, the will operate daily.
