A press conference by FlixBus, held on July 8, 2016 in a bus on the main square in Osijek, presented new routes the company is set to open in Croatia.
The first routes opened on June 16 together with local partners on the Adriatic coast to Zagreb.
“FlixBus’ business model has attracted nearly 35 million passengers around Europe and created thousands of jobs in the industry and strengthened regional bus operators,” said Dean Čebohin, director of business development for Central and Eastern Europe.
“The support offered by FlixBus through its business model affects the optimum usage of bus capacity and not only ensures economic benefits but a sustainable platform of millions of satisfied passengers,” explained Franjo Matijašević, director of Slavonia Bus, the new regional partner.
From July 14, FlixBus and its partners will begin connecting Slavonia with cities in Slovenia and Germany, from where it is easy to transfer to other destinations.
To provide a better service to passengers, FlixBus ensures more leg room, electrical socket, fee internet, optional drinks and snacks, free luggage and cancellation or change of reservation up to 15 minutes before departure without a fee. Prices begin at 9€ if you buy early.
“As a great advantage for our passengers we would point out online ticket purchase via the web or mobile app, offering route planning, special offers and road conditions and purchase without hassle, without papers,” explained Petra Milanović, PR manager of FlixBus for CEE.
In the coming fall, they plan to connect Croatia with neighbouring countries, as well as Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
