Lafodia Sea Resort is going all out to make sure your stay on the beautiful island of Lopud is second to none.
Over several years now, Lopud’s popular Lafodia Sea Resort has been organising a special event on August the 15th, and the motivation for that is more than interesting: August the 15th is an Italian public holiday which dates back to ancient Roman times and was introduced by Emperor Augustus, it was known as ”Feriae Augusti” (holiday of Augustus), to celebrate the end of the harvest and a long period of intense works in the fields.
Naturally, it was celebrated throughout the Roman Empire (almost in all of Europe and the Middle East, in fact). It also coincides with the major Catholic holiday of the Assumption of Our Lady, which is celebrated across the Catholic world.
To make the day more memorable, Lafodia Sea Resort has prepared a very special evening on their gorgeous Baja Beach, right under the main hotel premise, a professional troupe of actors, singers and dancers from Split will perform the already legendary musical Mamma Mia!
Together with a dinner created especially for the occasion by the hotel chef, beginning at 19:30, the musical itself will begin at 21:30, all of which will be followed by fireworks being set off from the sea while the stage is taken over by a DJ who will work up the atmosphere until late into the night.
