Free Internet on Zagreb Trams

Lauren Simmonds

An additional level of convenience is coming to Zagreb’s trams.

According to a report from Poslovni.hr on January 11, 2017, a pilot programme which is set to provide free WiFi on Zagreb’s trams has been launched.

For the first phase of this ambitious project, three of the most frequently used trams in the capital have been equipped with free WiFi in order to let passengers browse freely as they travel. According to ZET (Zagreb Electric Tram), approximately 15000 users have readily taken advantage of the WiFi while on their commutes around the city.

If the trial proves to be successful, which it is wholly expected to be, the idea will be taken to the next level and launched across the entire city of Zagreb.
