We’ve already written about Croatian Tourist Board’s promotional campaign which brings major global online influencers to Croatia and works with them on creating content for social media, with the intent of the beauties of Croatia becoming viral. This year, as lokalni.vecernji.hr writes they welcomed 5 popular influencers from Germany and UK.
Those countries were carefully chosen, as the idea was to attract as many young, potential visitors to Croatia as possible, and selecting these influencers might help with that goal. Their first reactions are very positive, and the guests are delighted with what continental Croatia has to offer.
The influencers visiting Croatia are Mike Will, Luke Clark, Keenan Lam, Ella Parsons (from the UK) and Julian Herbrig from Germany. As you can see if you visit their Instagram accounts we linked to, they visited Slovenia before Croatia, but have been having quite a lot of fun in Croatia as well. Some of them, such as Mike Will, Luke Clark and Julian Herbrig have visited Croatia before, but none of them visited continental Croatia during winter before, so this was an entirely new experience for all of them.
They visited, in the period between February 4th and 7th, numerous destinations: Zagreb, Medvednica, Veliki Tabor castle, “Old Village” Kumrovec Museum, Krapina Neanderthal Museum, Varaždin Old Town, Trakošćan Castle and Plitvice Lakes National Park.
The first reactions by their followers are overwhelmingly positive, as the group is often seen as serious photo and video content creators, they appreciate many attractive locations where it’s easy to create remarkable photos. Mike Will also decided to let us in on a secret, that one couple reached out to him and told him that they’ve decided to spend their honeymoon in Croatia – thanks to this promotional campaign and great work done by the influencers from Germany and UK!
