A nice promotion of Istria as a great family destination by Britain’s most popular tabloid on July 31, 2016.
It looks as though The Sun has discovered something that I experienced earlier this month – just how fabulous Istria is as a family destination.
I still think I had the ultimate family experience, a combination of Aquapark Istralandia and checking out Croatian tourism’s first edutainment centre, the Mirami Family Village at Aminess Camp Mareda in Novigrad, but the very positive Sun article today shows that there is plenty of other attractions for families in this beautiful peninsula on Croatia’s northern shores.
Former Yugoslavia, and particularly the Croatian coast, used to be the second most popular destination for British tourists after Spain before the regional conflict in the 1990s, and the Brits are once again coming back in their droves, a trend which will surely increase with more positive articles like this.
