It’s Official – Croatia has the Best Beach in Europe!

A few months ago the list was published and European Best Destination just made it official – Stiniva beach is the very best in Europe for 2016.

First it was the Zagreb Christmas market, then Zadar as the best destination, and a few months back we reported that European Best Destinations voted Stiniva beach on island Vis and the Best Beach in Europe for 2016. On June 23, 2016, they made it official, plaque and all.

Stiniva won the coveted title among some very tough competition and the final line-up is as follows: 

10. Ksamil Beach, Albania

9. Santa Maria Del Isolla, Italy

8. Apela Beach, Karpathos island, Greece

7. Armaçao de Pera Beach, Algarve, Portugal

6. Kavalikefta beach, Lefkada, Greece

5. Cala Acciarino, Lavezzi Island, Corsica

4. Berlanda Island, Portugal

3. The Concha, San Sebastian – Spain

2. Tossa de mar, Costa Brava – Spain

Aaaand the winner

1.Stiniva Beach,Vis Island – Croatia
