For over 50 years, Lufthansa has connected travelers from Croatia via its European hubs with more than 308 destinations in 103 countries worldwide.
This year, Lufthansa marks its 50th anniversary in Croatia. The first flight took off from Frankfurt to Zagreb in a Boing 727 “Europa Jet” on August 25, 1967. Since then, Lufthansa has linked Croatia via its Frankfurt and Munich airports with more than 200 destinations around the world, reports HRTurizam on June 1, 2017.
“The Lufthansa Group, apart from offering reliable and high-quality services, also takes into account socially responsible behavior,” said Bernhard Wodl, General Manager of the Lufthansa Group for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia.
Thus, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary, the Lufthansa Group will attend several charity events at the Center for Rehabilitation of Children and Youth in Zagreb. The Lufthansa staff will paint the walls of the rooms in the center to create a more comfortable environment for the children. Participants at the center will also create photo frames with messages for Lufthansa’s 50th anniversary which will be presented at the closing event and celebration in September this year.
The Lufthansa Group, through its members Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS and Eurowings, offers global connectivity with more than 11,000 flights a week to 308 destinations in 103 countries worldwide.
The Lufthansa Group has a total of 617 aircraft, and its members will take over 205 new aircraft by 2025, which will continue to belong to one of the world’s most modern and state-of-the-art fleets. The new fleet will include 59 ultra modern and long-distance Boeing 777-9X and Airbus A350-900 aircraft. This will further enhance passenger comfort and reduce fuel consumption, noise and harmful emissions. The Airbus A320neo and Bombardier C series aircraft represent the most efficient and lightest aircraft types and are part of the Lufthansa Group on short and medium-long flights.
