That photo went round the word, but the team from went one better today with a game of a very local watersport called ‘picigin’, which was played in a small lake in the middle of the confused beach.

Picigin – pronounced pi-tsi-geen- is a game played mostly in Split, but with its own world championship each year. A game which is played mostly at Split’s Bacvice Beach and consists of grown men standing is shallow water and diving to keep a small ball in the air and out of the water. In what is believed to be the first ever game of picigin inside the Zlatni Rat beach, a one-man game took place in the small lake.
