Official Confirmation: Lastovo and Downtown Split Seaplane Flights from Next Week

European Coastal Airlines confirms that flights from the island of Lastovo and the key hub of downtown Split will start next week. 

As TCN reported yesterday, the European Coastal Airlines seaplane connection is about to expand significantly. After 14 long years, the final bureaucratic hurdle of the Croatian Civil Aviation Authority inspection was overcome yesterday for two destinations – downtown Split and the island of Lastovo. The news was broken on the ECA Facebook page.

“Sjajne vijesti, prijatelji i fanovi! Sve je spremno na Lastovu i u Splitskoj luci. Letovi počinju sljedeći tjedan!”

TCN understands that the new flight schedule will be somewhat connected to the operational availbility of the latest Twin Otter in the fleet, a new arrival from California, which is going through its final procedures in the Croatian bureaucratic process. More news as we have it.
