The second edition of the successful winter festival brings 22 attractive events
Solin Tourist Board announced an attractive manifestation for the coming month: Solin Winterfest, a plethora of entertaining events and educational workshops that will take place from January 14 to February 14, 2018.
This year brings the second edition of the festival which remains the only one of its kind in Split-Dalmatia County, with 22 events grouped in four themed categories: water, grace, heritage, and love. The goal of the manifestation is to introduce the citizens and the tourists alike to the entire cultural, natural and religious heritage of the city of Solin and the adjacent archaeological site Salona.
Solin Winterfest is one of few cultural events of this scope taking place in the winter season. Apart from providing a valuable opportunity to learn something new and discover our local heritage, the project aims to further develop the tourist offer out of season and position the city of Solin as a destination that lives 365 days a year.
The activities will take place in various venues in Solin and its wider area, ranging from Gašpina mill and Gašpić restaurant to Hotel President, Hotel Salona Palace, and the archaeological site Salona. The festival appeals to visitors of all generations who will get an insight into the cultural heritage of the area and learn more about Solin’s history, but also get a chance to create some souvenirs, try their hand in baking and cooking, and dance the night away on Valentine’s Day.
