Croatian tourism can be, and continues to be promoted in a variety of ways, here’s one of them…

Every summer on the world music scene we witness various music hits, hits that along with the summer that is in itself an entire dynamic, is an excellent addition to tourism.

This is especially true when we talk about younger people, whose summer is reserved for various festivals dotted along the coast. Croatia has become a strong festival destination in the last couple of years, and we are very successful in attracting bigger audiences. It is quite clear that music and tourism go together, but the Croatian music scene hasn’t yet tried to develop it more seriously, but through the new international music hit on the international level, as well as a video aimed at promoting Croatia as a tourist destination, that may happen.

This is exactly what Nenad Hervatin, TV editor, journalist, and marketing leader, Oscar winner at PR WORLD AWARDS, and owner of NH Media Enterprises, who launched the “Summer of Love 2017” project, had in mind when he decided to do a cover of the song “Despacito Luis Fonsi feat. Daddy Yankee Croatian Cover by NEMO CROATIA.” Video clips in Croatian and in Spanish will present Croatia as a tourist destination through song, dance, and love and invite all tourists from Europe, and especially Spanish speakers, to visit our beautiful coast.

Nenad’s artistic name Nemo Croatia is behind the whole project, exclusively recorded for the promotion of Istria and Croatia, and the project is not a commercial one, he is not a professional musician, but he has a great desire to show the world a positive, brave and cheerful talented people in Croatia who know how to appreciate their roots.

“Learn the text, record yourself as you sing and send us postcards that we will post all over the world in all languages! Sharing, posting and commenting on social networks in Croatia is a way to spread love and beautiful image of Croatia all over the world. Thank you for your support and love”.

According to EUROSTAT data from 2016, in 2015, Spain made 12.5 million travels with non-business motifs, 63% of which spent on holiday type trips. Two thirds of the aforementioned travels are longer journeys (which are often mobile and combine multiple destinations). For Spanish tourists the most used method of transport is by air (64%). The Spanish people appear to be most interested in Dubrovnik region, although they are prone to touring and combining more destinations.

”It’s a just a PR idea, and the main motto is proactivity and try to promote Croatia in the best possible way – through video and music. I point out that we need to respect what we are, our history, nature, identity, tradition … so that others can respect us.” states Nenad.

”We had an awesome time covering Despacito by Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee. It is the first Spanish song we have covered in Croatia and it was an awsome experience to dance salsa moves on the beautiful Istrian beach Verudela in Pula!”
