Since 2013, more than 30 million euro was invested in the reconstruction of the old spa and aqua park.

Terme Tuhelj this year mark the 15th anniversary of the reopening and has decided to celebrate the occasion with a 250,000-euro investment in the reconstruction of indoor and outdoor pools and the introduction of new adrenaline waterslides, which could further increase revenues, reports Poslovni.hr on June 8, 2018.

“In the first five months of this year, almost 48,400 overnights were realized at Terme, which is two percent more than at the same time in 2017, accompanied by an eight percent increase in income from accommodation services,” say Terme Tuhelj representatives, pointing out that they have reconstructed all the indoor and outdoor pools in the Water Planet area this year, and introduced new waterslides at the pools.

The investments have further improved the attractiveness of the spa resort and aqua park, which now have a total of nine water slides for visitors of all ages, two of which are the new ones for adults – one provides a 113-metre drop with special light effects, while the other offers a freefall from the height of 12 metres.

In addition to these new and refurbished attractions, guest can enjoy organised activities and entertainment throughout the summer. It is expected that more than 91,500 visitors will come to Terme this summer, from June to August, which would be 22 percent more than in 2016.

“Because of these investments which have improved the quality of services offered, this summer we have increased ticket prices by an average of 10 percent. We believe that the new facilities are a strong enough draw to attract even more visitors than last year. We already have 16 percent more guests than in the same period last year, and we also have six percent more wellness treatments booked,” they noted.

The most numerous guests are those from Croatia, followed by Slovenia, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy and Austria.

In the 15 years since the reopening – Terme was reopened in 2003 after a comprehensive reconstruction of the old resort – a total of more than 30 million euro was invested.
