Most frequent were users from the US, Germany, France, The Netherlands and Australia, with a total of Croatian Uber users from 114 nations so far, according to a company press release on January 14, 2017.
During the recently ended and most visited Advent in Zagreb, declared for the second time in a row as the best winter holiday manifestation in Europe, the Uber service was used by visitors from a total of 85 nations.
In all of Croatia, the nations total went up to 88 during the same period, while in coastal towns of Split, Dubrovnik and Zadar where Uber is present, a total of 65 nations.
During December, which is beside the summer season the most touristic period of the year, Uber in Zagreb was most used by guests from the US, Great Britain, France, The Netherlands and Germany. In coastal towns it was tourists from the US, Great Britain, Australia, Germany and France.
Since Uber began its service in Croatia, the application has been used by visitors from a total of 114 nations, which represents 58% of all nations in the world. This exceptional interest by tourists once again confirms that Uber is an excellent add-on to the tourism offer of all of Croatia and is for tourists and locals an additional option of local transportation.
According to data from the Croatian Tourism Board, the city of Zagreb is an absolute record holder in the number of touristic overnight stays in December, with 93.000 tourists who made over 167.000 overnight stays. For the Croatian metropolis this is a 30 percent increase in guests compared to the same month of last year.
In all of Croatia a total of 280.218 arrivals were recorded with 667.372 overnight stays. With a successful December, Croatia concluded a record tourism year.
